Individual Career Academic Plan
What is ICAP?
Englewood Schools High School Planning Guide
Each year, students work on their Individual Career and Academic Plan. This process includes self exploration, career and college exploration, post-secondary planning, and workforce readiness skill building. Students do this work throughout their school year in their Family class and through the Finest Connect Curriculum. Students work on team building, interest and skill inventories, college and worksite field trips, resumes and more. This work is documented in Naviance, which also includes some online tools students access and utilize to supplement their ICAP work and experience.
Below is the ICAP Scope and Sequence of tasks students complete throughout each year at CFHSC. This process culminates in an individual Academic Review with the student's counselor that results in a solid post secondary plan and steps taken towards that plan. All students are expected to apply to a post secondary program and have a letter of recommendation.
