Cosmetology
A cosmetologist is a trained professional who cuts, colors, and styles hair. Services may also include extensions, smoothing/straightening treatments, and specialty event styling. Cosmetologists help clients achieve desired looks and often work in salons, spas, resorts, or barbershops. All cosmetologists must hold a valid state license before working with the public. In 2019, there were approximately 628,000 cosmetology and personal appearance jobs nationwide.

1st Year Cosmetology
Students complete all program requirements—no internships, externships, or apprenticeships needed. Completion makes students eligible for licensure.
