Ready to add another skill set to your professional toolbox?

Graduates of the Cosmetology Program at Colorado's Finest Salon & Spa Academy have the exciting opportunity to continue their journey and earn the additional training required to become a licensed Barber in Colorado!

If you've completed cosmetology, you're already well on your way. Through Colorado's prior learning credit process, you'll receive credit for your cosmetology education and only need to complete 90 additional clock hours focused on barbering-specific skills.

Master the art of traditional barbering through specialized training in:

• BAR 1007 – Introductory Shaving, Honing & Stropping
• BAR 1008 – Intermediate Shaving, Honing & Stropping
• BAR 2007 – Advanced Shaving, Honing & Stropping

You'll gain hands-on experience in:

🪒 Beard & Hair Growth Analysis
🪒 Skin Analysis & Preparation

🎓 Prior Learning Credit

Because you've already completed the Cosmetology Program, Colorado allows you to receive 1,410 clock hours of prior learning credit toward barber licensure based on your official Cosmetology Record of Completion.

That means you're only 90 hours away from expanding your career opportunities and becoming dual-licensed!

🚨 Important Enrollment Information

The Barber Crossover Program is only offered immediately following completion of the second year of the Cosmetology Program. Students must enroll during this designated summer session and may not return in future years to complete crossover barber coursework.
